Stefan van Zyl

Stefan van Zyl voltooi in 2019 sy doktorale proefskrif in Afrikaanse letterkunde, getiteld Hennie Aucamp: ’n gerontologiese oeuvrestudie, onder leiding van professor Phil van Schalkwyk aan die Noordwes-Universiteit in Potchefstroom. Sy huidige navorsingsbelangstellings word onderlê deur die interdissiplinêre bestudering van letterkunde, psigologie, sosiologie (spesifiek gender- en queerstudies), gerontologie, kunsgeskiedenis en musiek. Hy is tans ’n assistent direkteur by die Departement van Hoër Onderwys, Wetenskap en Tegnologie in Pretoria waar hy as taalpraktisyn in die eksamendirektoraat vir tegniese en beroepsgerigte opleidingkolleges (TVET) werk.

Stefan van Zyl was awarded his PhD on Afrikaans literature in 2019 for his thesis entitled Hennie Aucamp: a gerontological oeuvre study, completed under the supervision of professor Phil van Schalkwyk of the North-West University in Potchefstroom. His current research interests are grounded in interdisciplinary studies of literature, psychology, sociology (especially gender and queer studies), gerontology, art history and music. He is currently an assistant director at the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology in Pretoria where he works as a language practitioner in the examination directory for technical and vocational education and training (TVET) colleges.
