Moleboheng Morakabi was born in the Free State province, in Maokeng, Kroonstad. She is a singer and poet and writer and actress. Moleboheng is part of a poetic duo called Mohato, formed by her and her partner Lindiwe Bakaqa, and the duo fuses song and spoken word to deliver their message. She was introduced to theatre when she became a replacement stage manager for a Isixhosa play called Icamagu; later on she co-stage managed in an all woman poetry show called the Voice Out Loud Culture. She also performed as The Oracle in a play that tackles gender-based violence called Ndiboleke Ingubo directed by Sizakele Mdi, all these productions staged in the Andre Hughnet theatre at the Performing Arts Center of the Free State. Moleboheng continues to pursue her career in acting and writing in her hometown and she is the co-founder of Mohato Afrika (Pty Ltd), a small business in the arts.
